upd: пока грузилось видео все таки смог посадить эту байду, предварительно вытормозив на высоте 65 км, и отбросив 5ю ступень, благо тепловой щит на 6 ступени все же стоял.

Вот мне интересно, а у стандартного посадочного модуля тепловой щит уже встроен в конструкцию? Или все-таки нужен для возвращения

Не встроен, но теплоемкость у него повышена до 2400 градусов. Посадка возможна при наличии парашюта и многократных проходах через верхние слои атмосферы (от 40 км и выше) для снятия лишней скорости.
